has awarded 41 college book expense scholarships to graduating seniors and college students

​On March 13, 2004 Jevon lost life, to a senseless act of gun violence. He lost his life helping a family member. Since his untimely death the "Jevon Ryans White Scholarship" was created in his loving memory. Jevon loved helping people, he lost his life doing just that.

He was employed by Con Edison and a former employee at the Greater Allen Cathedral in Jamaica, Queens. He attended York College.

In 1980 the Women's Information Network Inc was founded to address issues of daily living faced by youth. WIN INC is comprised by an eclectic group of women from all walks of life, dedicated to making a difference, to ensure that young people have the necessary tools to succeed, and overcome educational obstacles and succeed in their endeavers.
